Thank you for participating in UCSF's 2012 Passport to Wellness! Passport is designed to encourage all students to integrate healthy habits in their daily lives, and we hoped you enjoyed all of the programs and activities that UCSF hosted this year. Here's a look back at the types of programs offered:

Dog Days of February: Stress Reduction
Take time to distress with a dog from Animal Assisted Therapy of SPCA. Pet the dog, eat chocolate, have an orange and relax!

Student Photography Exhibit Reception
Join the Photo Interest Club, ASUC & GSA in the opening of this year's Student Photography Exhibit. Enjoy food and beverages and vote for your favorite photograph. Reception attendees will choose winners. Bring friends to vote!

UCSF Run Club
Drop by and join UCSF Fit & Rec for a run each Wednesday night for a run at a 9-11 minute per mile pace at various distances that are 3-6 miles each.

Lab vs Lab Volleyball at Mission Bay
To kick off the new year and get people moving again after the holidays, Lab vs. Lab is coming back in full force for volleyball in January.

Bagel Tuesdays Mission Bay

UCSF students, come enjoy free bagels and coffee on the first Tuesday of every month. Mingle, fuel up, then get on with your day.

Tuition On The Rise, Find Out Why
Concerned about how the California budget crisis affects the quality of your education? Interested in representing UC students on the Board of Regents? Come meet the current UC student Regent Alfredo Mireles, Jr. as he presents our budgetary crisis and answers questions.

Career & Research Days Poster Session and Reception

Come grab a snack and see what your peers in the graduate division are up to!

Breathe
Take a break, breathe and get back on track with mindfulness meditation. Join us for weekly drop-in mindfulness meditation sessions that are open to all and will include instruction in the form of guidance. Free snacks!

Self-Care 101: Parnassus
Are you at the end of your rope? Self-Care 101 is a crash course in physical and emotional wellness. Larry Lariosa, MFT will facilitate a one-hour workshop that incorporates cognitive behavioral techniques and educational tips. Free lunch!

Nutrition Talk: Food as Aphrodisiac: Mission Bay
Stimulate your appetite and heat up your Valentine's Day with the seductive power of food. Join Alison Boden, MPH, RD for a discussion on the history of and science behind aphrodisiac food claims, while nibbling on tasty treats.

Multiculturalism: 100% You Photo Exhibit
A tribute to Kip Fulbeck's Hapa Project, featuring UCSF students, staff, faculty & family members, honoring the MLK Celebration and establishment of the Multicultural Resource Center at UCSF.

Interprofessional Winter Formal
Join the ASUC & GSA for the semi- formal All School Gala and enjoy a night filled with dancing, pictures, dancing and hors d'oeuvres.

Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents
Drawing from scientific studies and using her real-world examples, Christine Carter, PhD, Executive Director of UCB's Greater Good Science Center, will provide advice on developing happiness habits and creating more joy in your life.

Balancing Faith and Daily Life
The Muslim Community at UCSF presents Revered Scholar Alauddin El-Bakri's interactive discussion on Balancing Faith and Daily Life. Tea and dessert will be served.

Game Night
Think you can compete? Here's your chance to test your game skills, learn a new game, and meet new friends. Bring your favorite games to share. Door prizes will be given out at the end of the night.
